Here's a BYC article about different breeds of chickens that might be helpful. It gives their egg production along with other info about them. The list isn't all inclusive but has a lot of chicken varieties.

We have a Learning Center full of helpful articles about raising chicks, chickens, and a lot more!

And, if you don't have a coop yet, we have a Coop Forum with thousands of coops all styles. These too are written by our members and some have instructions for how to build them.
