Exercise for the lower ab? or any exercises!

((Hugs)) When anyone goes on a diet they tend to hyper focus on food. I can only imagine it would be twice as difficult for a diabetic.

I'm wondering if you're getting enough calories. Have you tried logging your food intake on a site like sparkpeople?

Also I know it isn't the same but I did have gestational diabetes when I was pregnant. So I have a little experience with the food issues your speaking about.

I hate to be whiny about it, but every once in awhile it all just gets to me

Having been very over weight and having skinny friends, I know how it feels.

I think I worded my last post wrong. What was trying to say was that from a weightloss stand point the complex carbs are going to fill her up longer.

No...it wont. Sorry..not trying to be difficult, but hunger is controlled by your bodies need for nutrients and how much is available in the blood stream. Fiber might make your stomach feel distended for a bit, but the hunger signal will return with a vengeance after things digest.

I used to eat lots of fiber so I would feel full. All it did was make me bloated and gassy and I was STILL hungry all the time.

They have actually done studies on rats (like humans, they are omnivores) where they added fillers like fiber or clay to their food. The rats always ate until they got the nutrient level they needed. If fillers were added to their food, they just ate more.

With high circulating levels of insulin, the nutrients you need get stuffed in your fat cells and they are no longer available to the body. Many people have experienced this in the form of getting hungry one hour after eating a bunch of chinese food - they just have no idea what causes it. You think to yourself "Why in the world am I hungry??? I just ate a whole bunch of rice and sweet and sour pork!"

There is also a work out check in thread, that is quite often random ramblings, but there is good information there. If you post your question there, one or more is bound to answer with some real specifics for you.
