They were on the list prior to ordering but you know how things change, and they could be added if I get the word...

I got the idea from another poster here, and loved their idea, so I went to our local Habitat restore and found a couple of 4inch pvc pipes and purchased the rest of the material at Lowes, they were so easy to put together and no waste, which will be the best part of it all.

What a great job!Love the idea of the tubes for feeding,I`m getting a new silkie coop added onto the big coop next spring and am going to show dh these tube things, will take up less room, This is my big coop,he will be building out on the side, the little one was our granddaughters play house and thats where my silkies are right now but you have to bend over to do anything and my back can`t take it anymore.Safety was inportant to us to when we build our coop and runs,we have hardware cloth on the windows but the runs are so big that we used chicken wire on them, but the girls and boys are put away every night and locked in so nothing can get them. And i like the idea of the bottom cages ,I was wondering what to do about that as I wanted a few cages for broodies and roosters. Thanks for all the pictures and ideas, now lets see the chickens in there.

Very nice coop. If you are going to use shavings on the floor you might want to mount the feeders a little higher and put the waterer on blocks or the chickens will fill them right full of shavings. When they are bigger anyhow. Good Job.

AWESOME!! Love your detention center. I have mine set so that one day I can do the same, but I got carried away and have too many chickens to take away any coop space. Instead I now have two chickens in my service area.

love how you incorporated the look into the existing building.

What a beautiful job you all did on the coop and run. What's it like to plan ahead? A foreign idea for me I think...I thought you might be in Ohio since you ordered from Meyer and list West Jefferson (a suburb outsside of Columbus, OH) on your tag...until you mentioned mountains...

By the way, the smartest thing you did was realize there might just be a small chance you will end up with more chickens...you will. When yours arrive you'll be thinking, "geez, they are really little..." I speak from experience. And we've gotten chicks from Meyer the last two years--they have been great to work with and we are really happy with the girls we have. Best of luck with yours.
