Exhibition Buff Orpingtons For Sale/MS

If airmom gets those chickens, she's gonna be my new best friend James.

I hope she does! If she's close enough to you to pick them up, then when you're kicking yourself later for getting rid of them, you can go beg her for some chicks back!

Hello, New Best Friend! LOL! I'm picking up the two 8 mo. old pullets this afternoon. If not spoken for, I might not have the willpower to resist more! Please pray for my marriage if I leave Jame's place with more than two pullets!

Stacy, what's your secret? From the looks of your signature you either married a "Pet-o-holic" or you have some spell or charm I am evidently lacking.

Update on the Orps. Airmom got 2 of the hens so now there are 4 hens and the 2 roosters remaining.

Oh... well, something I've noticed... people seem to have this "thing" where they ASK their spouse if they mind getting this or that... I just get it and say, "guess what we got!"...but there is a bit more to it.. ALWAYS, ALWAYS do it when they are out to sea for at least a 6 week deployment! LOL!!! KIDDING!
He actually goes with me to pick up stuff. He is in love with the lamb and yesterday looked at a couple more to pick up at the lady's house when we were over there getting feed. He also loves going to the auction to see what he can pick over there...I don't even get to have the dang card to bid with! Hehehe....
I can't believe you went to James' house and didn't go home with ALL the orps! LOL!!! You know..I hatched some of those from Catalpa farms, then sent them to James on a trade. I'm kicking myself all the time for that... We LOVE our orps! LOL!!! I got a good trade though.
James always has good birds though.

Do you sell the splash or blue orp eggs here, James?

Stacy I think if Airmom had a choice all of the Orps would have went home with her. Along with some other birds. LOL

Asher, hey no I don't sell any of my blue or splash orp eggs. I did sell some that where a cross between the buffs and the blue's and have quite a few chicks from them myself and they are some really pretty babies. I am going to be setting and hatching all of the blue eggs and splash eggs as I only have 3 hens but hopefully if things go well I will have some blue chicks to sell a little later on. Although I do already have I think 3 or 4 people on a list who is wanting some of them.

My car wouldn't hold anymore. Those beautiful exhibition BOs are larger than life. I told my DH that if he could have seen the sheer impressive size of the rooster, he would have told me to tie him to the hood of the car!

I wound up with one 8 mo. old instead of two because the 13 month old broody touched my heart with her pretty face and eyes. I needed a broody hen to hatch the silkie Serama bantam's fertile eggs, so there you go! I named them Ruth and Naomi. When I go back for my Welsummer roo, naturally he will be called Boaz.

Any suggestions for a name for the Welsummer pullet? My only Brandy bird has grown to a flock of 6 with two more coming soon!

I know I will be dreaming of all the many pretty and unusual varieties of chickens I saw today. There is NOTHING like seeing birds of all ages and breeds in person; NOTHING!!!! And, Lord help me, now I also am in love with nonsense dogs. Gizmo forever has my heart. It doesn't stop there, either. You should all meet Puss! The guinias had me giggling, and this one silkie golden seabright mixed rooster nearly tempted me to STEAL!!!!

Fortunately, James told me he was kind of mean, but still....hmmmm....

Now if I could just figure out a fair trade to get James over here to build pens, coops, runs...you get the picture. Mississippi is looking better chicken wise to this crazy girl. And I thought the local feed and seed was a dangerous place for me to visit!

Forgive my rambling, but that's how giddiness affects me. If only I had an SUV or large van. I will definitely be praying for contentment and forgiveness for coveting tonight and possibly many nights to come. I enjoyed the day immensely and look forward to shopping and visiting there again ASAP. I won't even talk about the state of the art incubator....

Oh! And it SNOWED after I got home. That's rare here, too.

Anyone interested in the remaining 4 hens and 2 roosters? Will be listing them on Eggbid soon if no-one replies.

James

<sigh> Meet me halfway!

KIDDING. Mike would KILL me for sure for driving that far! LOL!! Even though he loves those orps.
