Im not sure if exotic/ornamental/wild geese posts are allowed on here but the ornamental forum isn't very active :idunno Feel free to take this down if it's against rules but if anyone knows about keeping wild geese please visit this link, I have no idea where to find anything. Thank you !!

DISCLAIMER!! By 'wild geese' I mean not selectively bred domestic geese that are very closely related to their wild counterparts. I am sourcing or looking to source if I can find one from a legal breeder of these birds with a permit to do so and will not be selling mine, thank you

I'm not quite sure what you're trying to get at.... Have you ever considered Egyptian geese? Very beautiful, but very mean. They're smaller geese, and are wild in some places. They are exotic.
Have you tried Stromberg's? They have wild geese, though I don't know if they are all domestic.
I've held two wild Canadians! One in Massachusetts, the other in Maine. They bred themselves. I don't own them, I just held them for a couple of minutes then I put them back down. They probably don't count though. If I was you, I'd check with your state's wildlife ordinances and see what they say, then go from there.

No Egyptians, I know someone who kept them and they hated them, very mean. Sorry this post was so cryptic, I had made so many you couldn't even tell what I was trying to say. I made the post asking if anyone had info on wild goose breeds and other 'exotic' birds. No commercial hatchery has anything of what I'm looking for. California is very strict and I'm pretty sure I'd have to get a permit for almost everything I'm interested in and have accepted that.

Oh. That's too bad that they hated them. Someday, I'd like to try out the Egyptians, but it'll probably be years before I do if I do. Yeah, pretty much any state would probably require a permit as far as I know. Sorry that I wasn't able to help. I hope that you can find your wild exotic geese!
