Happy New Year. Our Bielefelders are beyond 30 weeks. One had scrapped her head as a chick and had a scab form at the beak and forehead area. As a result, no comb was developed. She does have a very small waddle. She is also smaller in size and weight than her siblings. My questions are:

1. How will this effect her overall health - should we anticipate she will struggle in extreme heat or cold (we live in MD Eastern Shore). What should we be on the lookout for?

2. How will this effect egg production - will she begin laying, or have a reduced cycle?

Thanks in advance

I don't think having or not having a comb would affect the health of a chicken at all. A lot of game breeds get their combs dubbed and it doesn't bother them.
Comb and waddles are decorative.
Hens combs get bigger as they get ready to lay, beliefelders are slow to mature and if it's winter where you are, she won't lay until the days get longer
