Expecting Chickens, by Spring 2013

:welcome Welcome, it's so nice to meet you! I'm from NC myself and this year started raising chickens and well...:jumpy chicken math took over and the addiction began! :lau I hope you enjoy it as much as I do here...I have met many wonderful friends and learned SOOOO much from many of the pros. Jump right on in, you will feel right at home in no time! :caf

P.S. Our Red Sex-Links do well in the heat here in NC. But it may get a lot hotter where you are located.

Welcome! I read that White Star Hybrids are supposed to be great in the heat and they are beautiful. But I haven't found any yet. Best wishes!

Wow. I haven't checked my acct in awhile, and am grateful for the flood of recommendations for my flock. Here is what I have: 3 Barred Rocks, 1 Leghorn, Black Star, R. I. Red, and a Buff Orpington
