Well I am up early this morning and praying I get that call from the post office. If I do not get that call, I am going to call and question why I didn't receive an email stating they been shipped and etc. That has me so nervous about the whole situation, even though I was told verbally that they had been.

I think I have rechecked my receipt 10 times to make sure it states your order will be shipped on 3/7/11 and that they have the right phone number and address. Everything looks good on that part. I have my brooder light on and heated, I have their food dishes filled, and the sugar water ready to be mixed.

It's 6 am my time, PO box could call anytime now.

The babies arrived this morning!!

Okay well 13 are still alive and seem to be doing good, eating and drinking.. chirping away. The other 12 died on the way, and I could tell some were pretty recent too

I am not sure how Ideal figures out if it was my barred rocks or my australops that passed or if they will just refund the amount.. I need to upload the pictures

Wasn't that only 2 days in transit? I'm really sorry, I was so nervous when I opened the box, so scary, Maybe the weather was just really cold where Ideal is or the route, When I got to the PO, (yes they knew I was coming) but they had them on the cold concrete floor by the back loading dock? I don't think they could have stayed there very long. I'm sure they will make it right, but that doesn't make you feel any better.

No it's sad to see so many passed, but I am thankful for the one's that did make it. They are chirping up a storm, eating and running around , only 2 are sleeping... which makes me want to poke them..lol

I'm glad you got them!! That's quite the DOA rate though, esp for 2 days in transit vs 3. So sorry!! BR's should have a white spot on their heads, not sure about the BA's as I've never had them, but maybe that'll help identify? Are you going to get a replacement order?

Yes I think I will just have them resend them out if that is an option. I hope pretty quick too so they can grow up together.

I didn't see too many with white dots on their heads, only one..lol

my order came this morning from meyer hatchery in polk, ohio. we ordered 25 they sent 26 . only 2 were dead when i opened the box. post office called me at 648am. we have 24 out of the 26 all live and healthy. mine shipped monday at 356pm from ohio. it was 39 hrs from hatchery to my postoffice. not too bad.
