I have no idea; I didn't even know there was a German line until macgro7 told me!
When it comes to very rare breeds like these, I think we are beggars, so can't be choosers. You just thank your lucky stars that you found a breeder at all!

Normally I'd be of the same attitude, but the one source seems to do a bit too much inbreeding with their other breeds and the birds are questionable.I have no idea; I didn't even know there was a German line until macgro7 told me!When it comes to very rare breeds like these, I think we are beggars, so can't be choosers. I have a trio of Langshans I hatched from a breeder. They are not hatchery. The male is blue, the girls black. They are 2 years old and great type and HUGE. The rooster is not aggressive, They lay well and I have not known them to go broody. They are a hardy breed.Has anyone here had experience with these 2 not so common breeds? Any details on size, weather hardiness and broodiness??
Good to know, though my concern is cold weather hardiness considering their comb size. Is the roo tall?I have a trio of Langshans I hatched from a breeder. They are not hatchery. I'm in Florida and they do OK in the heat.
