The Gypsy hen has a few varieties for sale and they have a good showing record. I’m looking at getting my ameracaunas from them.

I have a Blue Copper Marans (but she’s lacking the copper!) and she is just a lovely sweet bird. She’s one of my chattiest girls and gets along well with everyone. She is at the bottom of the pecking order, but not picked on and still brave enough to take on my dog through the fence She hasn’t laid an egg yet, but I’m very happy with her personality and she definitely adds to the flock! I would consider getting more in the future

IMO, it's much better to raise feather-footed breeds on sandy, well-drained soil so that you don't have to deal with mud.

I agree. Which reminds me that the girls need more aspen shavings
