Thank you . Good idea but I can't figure out how to edit the Title. It lets me edit the body of the post or the tags but I don't see an option to edit the title.
Click on 'report'(lower left) in your first post and ask a mod to edit title.
 
That's my thought too. She is very young and just graduated from Cornell in 2017 so I think it's just something new to her and she wants to be 100 percent sure.
Cornell has the best Avian research center. She should be able to get good support there.
 
I would love to get that done for her if I can find a vet that would do it. I didn't know it was even an option. Thank you I'll dig more into that.

Be advised that I don't know if it's an option either. I just spotted that thread regarding chickens. It could be that it isn't feasible for ducks - or at least your duck. I hope it is because it seems like it would be a safer, permanent solution than an implant that might slip, malfunction, etc.

I appreciate that. It definitely would be a much more permanent solution and like you said things can go wrong with the implants. I found another vet that’s about 2’hours from me that has an avian specialist. I’m gonna call them tomorrow and inquire.
