Hi everyone

I really appreciate the words of wisdom and kind thoughts! She is doing well. Still swollen, of course, but putting full weight on it. She is very lucky to have merely skinned it, no gashes.

The vet is coming on Wednesday to do xrays. Keeping my fingers crossed that there is no damage.

Horses are true spazzes.

I am glad she is doing well. That kind of stuff is nerve racking!!

Once she is healed up, I suggest taking her to the horsey chiro. She could have put her self out of whack when freaking out.

Well if she hadn't been such a piggy and kicked at the boys she wouldn't have gotten her dang foot caught. It's not like she isn't fed enough, LOL. They always have hay in their rack. Of course she gets extra piggy when I put out the 2nd cutting.

Once our mini stepped on our son's little tball stand and he ran around the yard like he was being chased by mountain lion. If only he'd stopped and let his mama help him.

I am looking forward to the vet coming tomorrow for the xrays. She really is putting her full weight on that hoof and despite the swelling seems comfortable.

Okay so vet was happy with how things looked and felt it was probably mostly superficial. She wrapped it to reduce the swelling and decided not to even xray it at this point.

I am so relieved! IF you look on my byc page, you can see the girl, she is the pinto.

i have not read all the replys.. but
ICE ICE ICE COLD COLD COLD.. it keep the swelling down..
keep her in a small corral where she cant move very much
