That whole area needs to be didinfected. That smell means that there are particles remaining - and those have some nasty bacteria in them - and the stench will only get worse if left alone. If you can, move Mama and her remaining eggs to a new area, maybe a kennel or a separate brooder coop and thoroughly clean the dirty area. Neither you nor your flock needs that stuff in your systems!They are in her nesting area. I think we figured out what happened. I'm just not sure if all is bad. We candled remaining eggs and they look fine but the smell is there from the egg that did explode.
Once she has a clean nest, Mama and her potential brood should proceed as normal ...
