Exploded rotten eggs?

They are in her nesting area. I think we figured out what happened. I'm just not sure if all is bad. We candled remaining eggs and they look fine but the smell is there from the egg that did explode.
That whole area needs to be didinfected. That smell means that there are particles remaining - and those have some nasty bacteria in them - and the stench will only get worse if left alone. If you can, move Mama and her remaining eggs to a new area, maybe a kennel or a separate brooder coop and thoroughly clean the dirty area. Neither you nor your flock needs that stuff in your systems!
Once she has a clean nest, Mama and her potential brood should proceed as normal ... :fl
Good luck with her/them. It's SO neat to watch them grow and learn!

Okay, thank you! Certainly will do. I hope everything will return to normal 🤞🙌💯

Is she a new layer?
Is she even broody and setting on them?

She started sitting on them after she laid her 14th egg. She would only get out for very little time and be back in no time. But it was just a few days between her beginning to sit until we found the bad eggs

I had an egg explode on day 6 of incubation using an incubator. I normally would gather all of my eggs fresh, but these were shipped eggs. Minus the exploding egg I had a 7 out of 7 hatch rate so there is hope the other eggs are okay.

Well I have good news! We cleaned the area... The smell is gone. Everything is back to normal. She still is going in her nesting spot. Just less eggs now but 🙌💯♥️

And thank you for reassurance ♥️💯🙌

Got everything cleaned up. We have rechecked remainder of the eggs and everything is back to normal. Momma still goes in and everything 🙌 Just less eggs of course but I am happy we got this mess done... Thank you all! ♥️💯
