Do you think the vertical roaster had something to do with it?

You guys are funny!!! I think I give up on a glass pan with a chicken. I have used that vrtical roaster for over 15 years and never had an issue. So needless to say we wound up at a burger joint for dinner last night.

Have you figured out HOW this happened? I can think of that happening with an un-gutted chicken in a microwave, but for the life of me, I cannot figure out how it happened unless the pan was defective and it exploded first taking the chicken with it.

I cannot think of a single reason this could have happened! I have used that same pan and the same roaster for years now and never had an issue. I used to just remove the chicken and make gravy with the drippings - in that pan!

I think God doesn't want me roasting a chicken!!!!

I can't remember if the pan did break, however, glass pans have been known to fail after prolonged use. Canning jars will also fail on occasion, usually not as spectacularly though.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My fiance thinks it's funny because he does not prefer chicken. If he had his way we would have beef every night of the week.

I will have to try that - I DO have a deep fryer......
