Exposed skin and infection

My 3 yr old BR has been having leg problems not lame but noticed today she had skin exposed and infection on her breast bone. Possibly from sitting down all the time. I poured hydrogen peroxide on it a few times then Iodine with a non stick pad over it. Didn't take photos of the wound. What else can I do. They stopped selling antibiotics at feed store.

A wound should heal without antibiotics. You do need to find out if it's a one time wound or if she's rubbing the skin off from laying down. It will never heal if that's the case. I use bluekote to keep flies at bay and to keep other chickens from pecking.

Thank you for the info. I believe she is getting it from lying down all the time. No one has been pecking her. We have been keeping her separate from the flock for about 1 month. I will look into blue kite.
