Express your thoughts on this ( Photo )

I see that picture and would say to you all, "While this mans scars are obvious don't forget the ones who come back with scars you will never see."

I get a lump in my throat, tears in my eyes and a warm happy heart when I look at it. The lump and tears need no explanantion but the warmth in my heart is due solely to the fact that I am looking at two different generations of honored soldiers who respect each other, understand each other and care.

I feel proud to be an American. My dh's father serve in the Army as well as my dad ,brother and many of my great uncles. My other brother served in the Air Force and recently my daughter's boyfriend of four years just graduated from the Air Force Academy in TX. It's because of these people that we owe our freedom to.
The photo shows me that they knew exactly what the other went though even though it was 2 separate wars.

I cried. My 3 stepdads were all in wars. They raised me to respect those who go and serve to ensure freedom and democracy. As an adult I found out I come from generations of soldiers who have fought every major war this country has ever been in.I never made it to the Army like planned or married military, but I love our military and pray for their families.Bless you all.

I don't care what the reasons are. In fact they started out honorable and they remain honorable to us. I honor these men and woman troops. I can't wait for the day for that big ticker tape parade when it's the right time to come home.

Thank you for sharing that photo. While it has been 40 years since I got out of the Army, I still feel a kinship. That photo explains better than words that the feeling of brotherhood never leaves you.
