Extending broodiness

Will putting fake eggs under our broody Australorp keep her broody? She just became broody on Sunday and I ordered some eggs, but they aren't available until the first week of May. Thank you for any help you are able to provide.

It's not healthy for a bird to stay broody that long. Usually you can keep them broody maybe 4 weeks before they have to stop broodingto stay healthy
