I gave my broody hen eight eggs. She hatched 7, and I found 6 more under her. After candling, I saw three that were clear, two that looked off (dark on one side, a clear ring), and one that looks promising (mostly dark all the way through, a good-sized air bubble at the bottom). I stuck the latter three in the incubator a couple of days after her first chicks hatched so she can focus on them. I have no clue what day these eggs are on now or if any of them will actually hatch.
It has now been three days since I removed the eggs from the hen and placed it in the incubator. So far, no signs of pipping. But I'm scared to go in and turn them or candle them again because who knows when they'll start hatching.

Now... What do I do now? I would like for the promising egg to hatch, but we'll see.
If it does hatch, I don't think I can put it back under the mom hen. Her chicks are already about 4-5 days old now so probably will be a bit bigger than the hatching. Not to mention, by hatching it in the incubator I worry I may mess up the chick's ability to imprint on her mom. So I'm thinking of finding some more chicks to raise alongside this one, but should I commit to buying more chicks if I'm not even sure this one will hatch?

You'll have to wing it.
The other six eggs were obviously contributed by other hens so they are on a variety of days of incubation.
I would just put them all in the incubator and turn those that aren't very well developed.
In the future, if you have a broody hen with other hens, mark the initial eggs under her so you can remove volunteers.

Thanks, it'll be interesting to see if anything comes of it. I'd feel bad about tossing eggs that were so close to hatching into chicks.
I actually did mark her eggs and remove extras at first, but I noticed she was getting really agitated about it so stopped interfering after a couple of days. I decided to only remove eggs if she couldn't seem to keep them all under her.
Then after the first week, I convinced the other hens to lay elsewhere using fake eggs.
Interestingly, two of the clear eggs I tossed were eggs that I marked.

The eggs you had marked but were clear could be from her not being able to cover them all.
I always wait till the setter takes her daily foray off of the nest to mess with the eggs. The downside is you have to be there when that happens.
I have one now that I haven't been able to catch off and I'm sure it will be a mess when I get in there.

It has now been about a week since I put the eggs in the incubator. I candled them again tonight and the results seemed strange. Two show lots of veins, and the last is mostly all dark, whatever is inside is a bit more fluid-like than I'd expect.
I have not been turning them as I'd thought they'd be close to hatching but now that it's been a week...
I'm going to leave them be a while longer. Probably won't hatch anything, but leaving them alone while they aren't obviously dead and smell yet probably won't hurt. At worst I'll have to clean up a mess.
I wish I knew what was going on inside them.

I impulsively purchased six chicks from my local feed store. They were on sale and chicks have been on my mind so- yeah. I have six chicks in a brooder. I've even named them already. Lavender, Lotus, Poppy, Primrose, Chamomile, and Clover. If any of these eggs want to hatch they can maybe join them. But these girls seem to be growing quickly.

We have a pip!
It’s been 15 days since first chicks hatched, and 13 since I put these eggs into the incubator. One of the two remaining eggs had pipped.

The pip is on the wrong end. However as the chick has broken through the shell, I know she can breath. What should I watch for with an egg pipped this way? I’ve never actually seen it happen like this before now.

Still just a waiting game, but the tension is on.
I am worried, these eggs haven't had the best of conditions. I had them on lockdown settings for the past two weeks meaning high humidity and no turning. Hearing a chick peeping inside the egg makes it all the more real. Fingers crossed this little one hatches out alright.
External pip discovered today around 3 pm
Time is now 10 pm and no sign of zipping, but I hear her working at it.
If things haven't progressed by 3 am, I plan to help her chip away at a small piece of eggshell, leaving the membrane alone but hoping to help her work along.
Mallpositioned chicks seem so scary, you never know if they'll make it.

No pipping on the other egg yet. Could be another day or several. Could also not ever pip/hatch. Last I candled them, both eggs were near completely dark, but the other one was a little behind this one in development I think.
I really wish I knew when miss broody obtained these eggs.

I did chip off a bit of the shell, so far so good. No bleeding and the chick is still working hard to hatch. Now I think I'll leave the rest to the chick and see if she's able to hatch from here. She's doing a pretty good job at zipping now, slow but making good progress. I believe she'll hatch in just a few more hours.
