extra extra large egg!

We got a really, & I mean really, large egg, last week. It looked more like a goose egg. When I cracked it open, it was filled with blood. Has anyone had such a large egg from a leghorn. We get lots of double yokes, but this was twice that size.
Our chickens are 22 wks old, & we don't have a rooster. I feel really sorry for the little one, hope it doesn't happen to often.
