That doesn't always mean much, out of 21 "Pullets" I'm fairly certain I have 3 roosters. 1 is 100% rooster and the other two are still suspects but their comb and coloring in general point roo. 90% accuracy is good in theory but it still means that on average 1 in 10 are roos, and you could be unlucky.Well... It was a sexed pullet, so no.
that's what I said, it was supposed to be a Pullet, but no, I'm not sure.. thanks though. That doesn't always mean much, out of 21 "Pullets" I'm fairly certain I have 3 roosters. 1 is 100% rooster and the other two are still suspects but their comb and coloring in general point roo. 90% accuracy is good in theory but it still means that on average 1 in 10 are roos, and you could be unlucky.
Culling does mean to put down/kill.Culling doesn't have to be killing.
It just means eliminating from your flock. It can mean re homing.
I agree with other suggestions though, and would try that.![]()
maybe technically it does, but in the chicken world it just means selecting the best birds and re homing or butchering the rest.Culling does mean to put down/kill.
culling

"local areas affected by livestock culling"
To be clear... we can almost always find SOMETHING to support our views EVEN if it isn't correct. It just depends on what WE choose focus on.Culling does mean to put down/kill.
