Extremely large chicks!

Yes they are Cornish X I have 30 of them I have them for meat birds that is what they are intended for. I take there feed away at night and will butcher them at 8 to 10 weeks. If you are going to keep them you should only let them eat what they can a couple of times a day and that may be to much I have never tried to see how long they would live. I have read you might be able to keep them alive for about a year but you will need to restricted there diet. They only stink if you are feeding them to much

Geez, how much do I restrict their diets? We're a vegetarian family so I definitely won't be butchering them! I thought the one might be a rooster too. They were supposed to be sexed hens.
Unfortunately, Cornish x are not meant to live long. They are bred to grow out quickly to reach butcher stage as fast as possible. You can restrict their food, but they will eventually likely die of heart failure or something else. I would suggest you maybe find someone who could use some chicken in their freezer. In my opinion, that is the kindest thing you could do for them, rather than let them end up with heart failure, broken or deformed legs.
