EXTREMELY tiny eggs!!!

(Or should I say... EGGtreme ;) )

So now we have 4 chickens laying and 2 that arent quite there yet. One of the Welsummers laid this one (it might be our smallest girl, Canterbury)

It takes a lot of work to get those first eggs going right... :old It's not uncommon to get small eggs when they first start. They'll get bigger as her body adjusts to laying and she get's the hang of it. My LHs went from peewee, to rubber (not enough calcium), to double yokes until they finally got in the swing of things.:yesss:

Nice! And I know how a hen's body has to adjust to laying eggs properly. Our first few eggs were pretty small, but this one is the smallest I've ever seen! It's so cute!
 
We had one just like that! Maybe even a little smaller. Hens were born mid-March and not all are laying now. I haven't crakced it open. Ours are all the same breed laying light brown not-quite-large eggs. I sent around a photo of our collection Easter basket with 12 of the normal eggs and the tiny one and asked "Spot the different one"
