If you read the whole thread before responding, you might found out crucial information, as in this thread, if you read the posts after you might have seen the original poster found her ducks. I don't see how that's hard?

Thanks so much! They are funny little ducks and definitely in the rebellious teen phase!I'm glad that you found your Quackers! Sounds like they just wanted to go skinny dipping! Typical teenagers!
I just read this thread and feel like it might be forewarning. My duck(ling)s were really eyeing up the in-ground pool this weekend...even standing on the edge. Ultimately, they didn't go in. In the winter, we have wild ducks and pheasants that love the pool...I love watching the ducks float around in the pool and having the chickens stare at them in some kind of panic. It's somehow hilarious. However, in the winter, we just leave the pool as it is, no chemicals, no cover, so that animals can get out if they fall/swim in. In the spring and summer, we clean it heavily (debris removal, adding fresh water) and use chlorine to get/keep the pool clean enough for us to go in. I read that if ducks drink that kind of water, it could cause kidney damage. So when I saw my ducklings threatening to go in the pool, I just watched from the window, thinking "will this soon be a new thread topic on byc??". Is it dangerous for the ducks to ingest the chlorinated pool water? It's impossible for me to believe that they would go in the pool and not be guzzling the water.Well Splash and his girls decided to fly off again. I didn’t see them for a couple hours but then there they were flying back and coming in for a landing. They didn’t go to the neighbors pool this time, so they must have found a new spot. I think that they will continue to return home... they are very naughty ducks!![]()
I’m not sure about the chlorinated pool water. My neighbor never uses his pool nor treats it so it’s something I don’t have to worry about. I don’t know if it’s harmful or not. I’d assume it would be harmful if ingested in large amounts... maybe someone more knowledgeable could help you out. Good lucks with your ducks! Mine have yet to find my above ground pool.I just read this thread and feel like it might be forewarning. That's not Funny...... That SH** is HILARIOUS, Those Silly Gooses !Today’s duck story———
A while ago I was driving around a little ways away from my house. A distant neighbor has a large pond and I always admire the wild birds and fowl that are on it.i was looking at it while going by and I saw a group of really pretty ducks. I was like “aww! Look at those beautiful ducks! They’re absolutely gorgeous!”
...Anyways I pull over to look at them closer and see what breed... To my astonishment, Low and behold there sits Splash and his girls right in the middle of their lake!!!! Needless to say they are grounded until further notice and no watching dux tv! I’m still waiting for them to return and when they do they’ll get a talking to!If they’re not back before 6:30 I’ll go and retrieve them. I told my neighbor, who thought it was funny and spontaneously burst out laughing. I, on the other hand, am very perturbed! Naughty naughty ducks!!! The house is more then a couple of blocks away so I’m surprised they went there!
They are very naughty... but I will admit that it's really hilarious...That's not Funny...... That SH** is HILARIOUS, Those Silly Gooses !![]()
And just think..........You could have had some fish in an aquarium to keep you entertained !They are very naughty... but I will admit that it's really hilarious...
I went to get them and even shook their favorite treat with no avail... neighbor is keeping an eye on them and I'm going back to get them before it gets dark...![]()
