Extremely worried!

I’m so very worried right now! I’m absolutely freaking out. About a half hour ago Splash in his girls were flying by the cornfield. They landed in the cornfield and were in there for a little bit. About 15 minutes ago I saw Splash and Cammie fly out of the cornfield and Squeegee wasn’t with them. They flew back then landed then all 4 of the call ducks flew around for a couple of minutes looking for Squeegee. They came back and landed. I went wading through the weeds and looked for her with no luck. I cannot hear her honking which she does sometimes when she gets separated. I’m worried something bad happened or that she got separated and can’t find her way back. I’m so very concerned. Any advice? the others are now acting normal and swimming in their pool. I’m just very concerned and any advice would be appreciated. :(

I forgot to mention that this particular field behind my house is one that my guineas spend the whole day in and they’re out there right now.

edited to add something weird that I saw this morning:
Splash, the male, who usually stays with the girls. Flew and took both girls, Squeegee (the one I cant find) and Cammie over to a spot they frequent (the burn pile) landed with the two girls, then flew away and left both girls there. I brought the two of them back with the others and this was about an hour or two before they took off again and came back without Squeegee.

Now you know why I clip my Muscovy wings.
They are very naughty ducks! :lau
clipping their wings would probably put me at ease to them flying and getting lost. The reason I have not wanted to clip their wings is because they are free range and we have many predators around. I worry about them being an easy snack because of their small size. I have had my 15 pound Pekins killed by predators in a 7 ft pen. I just worry about taking away their only defense mechanism. I just wish Splash and his girls were as well behaved as the other two call drakes of the group Munchie and Squeak. They always stay right by the house and never fly away to neighbor’s tropical getaways.. it might be because they are larger and fatter than the other three... :gig Splash has been quite the little terror but I love him to death... everyday he likes to fly off with the girls without asking permission... he also loves to chase me around the yard, fly after me, and bite at my feet... he might be a bit spoiled...:rolleyes:

Again today, Splash, the alpha male, took both girls Squeegee and Cammie, dropped them off at my neighbors burn pile, then flew back with the other boys. For the past five days or so, the girls have been staying over at that burn pile all day then returning at night... I’m starting to suspect that they might have a secret nest over there... I called my neighbor and will be going over promptly to investigate. They’re about 4-5 months old so they’re about at the right age to start laying... I have also noticed recently that my female, Squeegee, has developed spots on her bill and my pekins usually get those when they start to lay. I am going to investigate so we shall see.:idunno

Ok so I went over. I’m almost certain that they have a nest. I saw both of the girls laying under the giant pile of branches but that was about all I could see. I couldn’t see any eggs because of all the sticks and branches. Also as soon as I went over there, fierce protector (Splashie dux) flew over chases me and started biting my feet. I will try to have a better look later... :lau :idunno
