Eye bulging in week old chick.

Please help!

This silkie chick is about a week old and it's right eye is enlarged and cloudy and watering. Any ideas what could have caused this and is there anything I can do?

Poor little guy! One of his brooder mates probably pecked him in the eye. I'd recommend getting some erythromycin ophthalmic ointment and applying it to the eye once a day until it gets better.

Eye troubles can also be a sign of respiratory illness but I don't think this is the case here.
