My 16-week brown leghorn pullet has primarily kept her right eye closed since Sunday. I have seen her open it, so it isn’t swollen shut, but she doesn’t keep it open for long. I haven’t identified any splotches or discharge, but she does sometimes crane her head back in what appears to be an effort to scratch her face.
There appears there might be some trama on the other side of her beak. (picture with her eye open).
She is the smallest of my five chicken flock. She is the only one that is still completely wary of us and doesn’t come racing for treats but will snag some of the remains that are still in the run once we leave. I have seen her eating and drinking, but she doesn't seem as active as the other girls..sometimes hanging out in the coop. I don’t have any specifics on her poop.
