Hi, my chickens has a clear liquid discharge coming from her right eye. Shes also doing a strange thing , she’ll kick her back right leg behind her. She’s never done that before and both are on the same side. She’s eating and drinking ok. Not sure what it is and what to do? I attached a couple photos Thanks

Thank you! I will try the saline solution today and I have ordered the Terramycin ointment.

It could be a sign of mycoplasma (MG.) Can you flush the eye with saline and then apply Terramycin eye ointment or plain Neosporin ointment twice a day.
Thank you so much! I have done the saline flush and Terramycin for 6 days. Doesn’t really seem to be responding to it. She’s not eating too much at all and minimal drinking. I bought some Tylan 50 that I am not injecting, plan to give orally but see conflicting info on dosing amounts and times. Thanks

You can give the Tylan50 orally 0.25 ml per pound 3 times a day for 5 days. That would be 1ml for a 4 pound chicken. You can ask for a free 1 ml syringe at most local pharmacies.
Great, thank you! I will start that today. I’m hoping this does the trick and helps her get better! I really appreciate your help!

Looks like a possible mild respiratory infection such as Mycoplasma Gallisepticum (MG).
