Patty, an ameraucana, about 3 yrs old, wormed regularly, laying well, no other problems noted, has a strange thing going on with her eyelids. Where the eyelids usually hug the eye close to the colored part, the forward part of the lids is stretched open, for lack of a better description. Pease see photos. The membranes around the eye are showing, and are grey. Seems like they should be red?
I don't see any inflammation, there is no drainage. The inner eyelid is working properly. She doesn't act as if her eye is bothering her. This affects both eyes.
What is going on?
