I will do my best at getting a photograph of what I'm attempting to describe. It's going to be hard to do because my chicken is very stand off-ish, doesn't play with the other chickens & is my loner.
My light brahma is 2.5 months old. Her right eye is set into her head, the white comes up a little over her eye but does not cover it and she appears to be blind because of the way she cocks her head to see out of her left eye. Her eye has been this way & I've looked for every possible problem here online. Then 2 days I noticed a new sign. It's as if a small chunk of her "eyelid" has been pinned back or pecked off but there is no sore/blood. (I will get that photo!) She has no drainage, eats great and is a perfect mama to my 7 week olds.
Could this be a trauma from a bad pecking to the eye from another chicken or does it sound like an eye infection?
