Eye injury

Hello. I have 2 male Pekins almost a year old. One of them has an eye injury. I have been treating with saline wash, and vetericyn ophthalmic ointment. It looks better than it did. But wondering if you had any other suggestions. Here is what it looked like and looks like today. I don’t have an avian vet available to me until May. Thanks

There is a scab under his eye today. I think from the terramycin that I was putting on on the beginning, but stopped due to him seeming bothered by it. He is doing fine, eating playing being a normal duck.

Second pic is what it first looked like? Any idea how he did it? Other than a vet treating I’d say you have it covered. Just keep up treatments.

No first pic was when it happened on Monday. The 2nd on is what it looked like today. I am not really sure how it happened, maybe they were picking or mating not sure. I checked the coop and no sign of anything sticking out like wires from fence or anything. Todays pick is the best it’s look other than the scab underneath. I’m not sure how to cover it.

As long as you keep it clean and keep up treatments it should heal. We do see eye injuries from mating so that is a possibility.

these were last night and this morning. The one on the left was yesterday and the one on the right was today. I am still doing the daily flushes, is there anything else I can do?

That to me looks like a vet needs to look at it.
Is a vet an option? if not I'd try the Terramycin again since it has antibiotic in it.
