Eye issue should I panic?

Hello I have a couple of older chicks I have noticed eye issues with. I’m hoping it’s just dirt or dust or maybe a pecking order thing as I have a lot of money invested in these chicks and my husband worked hard to give me a silkie run with a big coop. I do keep the coop and run clean I have 2 hens and 10 chicks total in that space and adding 9 more chicks once they are old enough to go outside and a silkie mix hen with 2 chicks I let her hatch when her chicks are old enough if that helps at all. The white chick is from Hoovers hatchery I order in a group of 10 only kept the 3 satins as the others was Cornish and gave them to a friend who has 2 with eye issues she things it’s MG in the ones I gave her and she has a lot of chickens. The black one I got from a local breeder at 1 week old with 4 others. All was kept Inside til 6-7 weeks old when I moved them to the run. I have treated them today with eye gel for animals I just got from tractor. Really hoping it’s nothing serious and something that spreads through the flock! The black chick (I noticed it today) can open the eye and the other eye on both look fine and normal. I can get more pics tonight when they roost. The white chick I noticed it maybe 2 days ago. I’m going to put the gel on the eyes again tonight when they bed down.

I have added a photo of both my chickens as well as the photos she sent me of the ones I gave her from Hoovers.

I'm sorry you're having issues.
Getting birds from 'local breeders' is always such a gamble.
Seperate the birds showing symptoms from the others, they need to be completely quarantined.

I have no way to separate them. My other run has a mom and 2 chicks. All 3 of my brooders of full with chicks and quails. I have a friend bring me medicine in the morning to treat them and doxy for the water for everyone in this run.

Oof. If it is mg, there's no way to stop the spread without quarantine of the sick.
Everyone has likely already been exposed, though if you can treat the symptoms, they have a good chance of survival.

You will have to have a bio secured flock now, nobody leaves, if a bird dies, they're burned or buried. Your friends with birds will have to be incredibly careful about visiting your property, sanitizing their persons and vehicles when they leave to go home.
You should get some coop specific shoes that stay outside, and nor wear them anywhere else. Just basic cleanliness.

But was told this is my fault since I took them outside at 7 weeks old (I’m in Az and only do this when our temps are above a certain point). I have had chickens for 7 years and never had an issue before like this besides lice from the finches. When my friend told me 2 of the Cornish had mg I freaked out but she said these guys don’t have it either. I posted here first cause this page is my go to and everyone here is incredible!!!!

Yes I do have bio security in place already. I do not let anyone in my backyard besides 2 close friends and family who do not have birds or go to other peoples houses with birds. And yes I do wear different shoes that are coop only shoes since I have 4 runs of chickens and quail. Thank you so much for taking the time to reply!!!

It could be an allergy but there's a few respiratory illnesses that look alike.

So I was told by the admin that chickens shouldn’t be outside til they are 12 weeks Old cause they have no immune system. I have never heard of that before. I have always taken them out around 6-7 weeks when we are above 85 in the day and make sure they are in the coop or back in side at night if it’s lower then 50s and they are off heat by that time as they are in my az room and it stays on the warmer side with the heat lamp I use for quails and the 2 heat plates for chicks. Plus I have windows open in there til I turn the ac on. In our winters I do keep them inside til they are 8 weeks old or fully feathered.

I had that too. It's not serious and it only spread to 5 chickens out of 32. I didn’t do anything and it healed up.
