Fiskars, our 2 year old scissor beak Ameraucana, has an issue with her eye. I’m not aware of an injury or attack to her.
Here is a picture. I have her separated from the rest of the chickens. I will clean her up and try and see if I can see anything. For now, here is a closeup picture. I will post more pics as I can.

I cleaned her up

I washed off clear mucous/film. Got off crust or dirt not sure which. I flushed her eye with salt water. No breathing issues. Hubby just told me she had yellow poop this morning. Any thoughts, suggestions and information would be appreciated.
This is the other eye

Our Hen recently had some sort of eye issue in which her eye was sealing shut every night and every morning she had crusty stuff on it. We washed her eyes out every morning and evening for about a week. She was having issues eating and drinking because she couldn't see and the issue was not improving. We were softly cleaning her eye and using artificial tears. Her eye looked okay she just couldn't open it.

We were going to take her to the vet but found this stuff called Curicyn at the feed store. There is one specifically for eyes. We put the drops in as directed and her eye was much improved within 1 day and 100% better in 2 or 3 days.

We put the drops in both eyes in case the other eye was infected too.

Sorry about your hen’s eye. Do you think that she was pecked or injured? The first picture almost seemed like the eye may have been punctured from all the goop on it. Can you see if the eye is intact when you open it eith your fingers? The first pic looks like a drop of blood on the tip of her beak. Does she get picked on by the others?

The other possibility if she wasn’t injured or got something into her eye, would be a respiratory disease, such as mycoplasma (MG.) Look for nasal drainage or dirt stuck to the nostril, bubbles or foam in the eye, sneezing, or rattly breathing. I would use some Terramycin eye ointment from your feed store, or some plain Neosporin eye ointment twice a day after cleaning it. Any gunk or pus should be removed each time.
