Eye Issues Baby Ducklings

2.5 week old Call Ducks. The one second from the right had a dark ring around its eye, and before we could start Veterycin eye wash in the past few days, the others are now developing eye gunk. They get Mazuri waterfowl crumbles with fresh water and head dunking water. Still have a brooder plate. All were assisted hatches. What else do we do? Electrolytes? Is this a sign of something more serious?

Veterycin is good but I would go with Terramycin eye ointment use the wash to risne the eyes gently or put it on a cotton ball and gently clean the eyes then use the Terramycin eye ointment.

So cute!
Do they get to swim? Could just be something got in the eye, which could be cleared while swimming.

I had one that took weeks for me to clear, it swelled up and she looked like she had a marble on her head. I never figured out what caused it, but my best guess was a tiny sliver from the bedding got into the eye. Luckily it was outside the inner eye-lid, so her eye was ok.

This was her at a few months old.
