Most likely that is it then but hopefully with some TLC they will be good as new in no time. Maybe just use plain table salt and some warm water and soft wash cloth and try rinsing out the eye real good. Thanks for all the insight. Just got the goslings yesterday. I will take a deeper inspection today. I don't believe it is bumble foot. I am going to set up a pool for the one with foot problems this morning. I have them in a small cage just on the grass. I got thinking last night could the eye be from getting bit by another goose? The lady said the older ones were harassing the two little ones.
You can get terrimycin eye ointment at feed stores and yes use it for the eyes. just make sure what you use doesn't have pain relief in it, that's a no no for waterfowl, well fowl period. Glad to hear it's leg is already better. keep up the good work!Believe it or not that water therapy did a lot for the poor gosling. It's walk is much better than it was. I am thinking about putting a hobble on his legs though. I think it has splayed legs. The one with eye problem looks like he must have been picked on by someone else. Do we are using terimicin on it. This forum is awesome so much help! Any other ideas are always welcome.
