Eye Problem. Help appreciated. [New picture]

I have to let you know that I just got back from the vet with my hen whos eye started out like that (exactly) and then started to swell. Her symptoms were exactly as you describe. He has diagnosed her with infectious coryza. I just found this article on it. Sorry, not too encouraging, but I thought you would want the info

Good luck!

She doesn't have any of those symptoms and this is day 2 with the eye problem. She is acting perfectly normal, with the exception of resting that eye when she has a nice free moment. What did your vet recommend you do?

And actually, now I don't think her eye isn't swollen. It's just she can't shut it all the way because of whatever is sticking out of her eye making it look like it's swollen when it's shut.

Her skin around her eye is now kind of white, could this just be from the constant scratching at it? She is still perfectly normal every else outside of her eye. :|

White discharge in eye now, but not bubbly. Looks kind of milky. I'll take a picture of it next time I can grab her.

mine get the fowl pox & always gets their dang eyes! I went out and for $7 i got vacc's for all of them! Just watch cause if it stays shut to long it swells. it then gets white hard infection and they usually loose the eye. i have had some with it & they lived but now have one eye. it was new to me & had no clue what to do. I would find some sumlet or something and give it to it.

I live in a pretty urban area so there really are no avian vets around. Where would I get some medication that would help her?

go to a local feed store 0r tractor supply or somewhere like that! Get sumlet....covers alot and kinda can be ruff on bellys so get some plain yogurt to give them as a snack to help with the belly! Also if Corynza, sumlet will help but they can always be carriers. If it is even that.....................
