I have a 11 month hen that has sight only in 1 eye. Just wonder what the issue is, can anyone help?
It has been this way for months, maybe since day 1. She was the smallest hen hatched.

Her eye looks blind, and the eyelid looks deformed from hatch or from an injury. Can she blink the eye? If not the eye may have become scarred. Peck injuries are common even as chicks, and a common cause of blindness. The pictures are poor. If you could get another with light shining toward the eye and face, that would help. You might want to clean the eye with saline, and apply some plain Neosporin or Terramycin eye ointment twice a day.

I’d say pus (hypopyon) or cataract, something white is filling the cornea. She’s literally blind in that eye. If it is a ‘quiet eye’ I’d leave it alone: no pain, swelling or drainage, if she’s just blind on that side and otherwise fine leave it be. If it is causing pain or ongoing discomfort removal (enucleation) is the best fix. Can’t treat cataracts in critters (for less that $$$) and an infection will be a bear to clear (oral or intramuscular meds two to three times daily, no medicated water or feed as concentrations and dosage won’t be high enough, 6 weeks plus) and isn’t guaranteed to work.

It looks a lot like my hen's eye only my hen didn't have the misshapen eyelid. She got an infection from getting dirt in there or an accidental peck. My group generally don't peck at each other often...but the eye looked identical to that and we took her to the vet to have it removed after spending 2 weeks on oral and topical antibiotics to no effect. She is ready to get her stitches removed now.

Here is another pic.
I am on the 2nd tube of tetramyacin, and I use an eye wash too occasionally.
Shes such a nice hen, wish I could help her.
