I don't know whether I'm putting this thread in the right section, but I just got three eight week old chickens and right away one of them got her eye pecked or got something in it. For almost a week she has had the corner of her nictitating membrane showing. It's not red or puffy. She seems okay other than that, but I wonder whether there's something wrong with her eye and if I can do anything for her to fix it. She's the smallest even though she's an Orpington and the others are a Plymouth Rock and wyandotte.
this would be best posted under emergency/diseases/ injuries and cures. i would wash the eye good with saline, there are eye drops you can get for chickens. be cautious of what drops you use though, some can be toxic.
