Eye problem

Also, if I were you , I'd be making some calls to see who will do some testing for you. Blood, stool sample, vet, something. Unless you identify what it is, you're llikely to lose birds. You said your birds had respiratory symptoms; another suggestion...go into the coop when they are asleep at night, and see if you hear them making weird, rattly breathing noises. Again, that's a classic symptom of ILT, but can also be a result of other respiratory problems.

See i dont know I dont think its the ILT there is no blood and they are still laying normaly The sneezing has been going on for a few weeks if not more and i have had no deaths due to whatever this is i just got the polyvisol and will start now and see what happens I dont have any vets that can test (or dont want to) so im screwd there

If the sneezing has been going on that long,, maybe it isn't ILT or Coryza. But our chickens always laid through their ILT thing, and we never saw any blood, either. In fact, we had one hen die who had no symptoms; when they did her necropsy they originally thought something had killed her cause her throat was all torn up..that's what ILT does...later they found out that's what she had. That's beside the point, though, what I mean is, you just don't know...there's so many look alike things. With Avian TB they can sneeze and cough for months, and not show any other symptoms.

I guess what you're doing is the best thing to do at this point...hopefully none will die but if one does, maybe the State will do a necropsy for you? It'd be interesting to know.

Pine Grove might be right too. Keep the chickendr in mind, too, if what you're doing isn't helping. He can get vaccines and stuff; is the only source I know of for more do-it-yourself vet supplies, that you can't get in local stores. He can give advice, too, if you still need it. his website is www.firststatevetsupply.com. Good luck.

I would suggest vet RX and just rub it around the bird's face and eyes. Start with simple first and then move to plan B if this doesn't work.

I also read that you can add 1/2 t of garlic powder to a gallon of water for cold symptoms. It helps to clear them up. It won't hurt the eggs...just might make them taste a bit garlic-y.

OK it is not fun trying to give chickens vits! So how much do you put in water? chicknmania thank you for all your help with this I am gonna ask my neighbour for advice she has had chickens for a long time maybe if she looks at them she can help. I hope anyway.
