Make sure that she is drinking enough or give water with a dropper. Sick birds will not drink enough on their own. Sorry for your loss.

I just changed & refilled her water, I'll keep an eye on her drinking.Make sure that she is drinking enough or give water with a dropper. Sick birds will not drink enough on their own. Sorry for your loss.
Ah, thanks. I hope I don't lose any more.I forgot to mention, that if you keep the body of the chick who died cool , but not frozen, you could possibly take it in to your state vet on Monday for a necropsy. That is a good way to get a diagnosis of what disease you are seeing. Here is a list of state vets:

I held a little lid with water in it up to her and she drank all of it, then she saw the waterer and went over to it and drank for about 10 minutes. I'll keep a closer eye on that.Make sure that she is drinking enough or give water with a dropper. Sick birds will not drink enough on their own. Sorry for your loss.

I had another chick die out in the isolation pen this morning, I noticed it was weak & draggy yesterday.
I'm hoping the antibiotics will get here today, I'm wanting to start them asap.
Did I see you post something somewhere about not giving vitamins while they're on antibiotics? If so, what is the reasoning? And should I continue the ACV while the antibiotics are being given in the water too?
The antibiotics got here yesterday. So I go to put it in her water and the eye swelling is back down to near normal and she's just looking at my like "Why am I still in the house?". I went ahead and dosed her water and my isolation pen outside that has a couple sounding sneezy & a bit draggy. No others with eye swelling so far, no other deaths besides those 2 young chicks (about 12 weeks). SoShe looks bright eyed today. Vitamins do not interfere with antibiotics like they would with giving Corid for coccidiosis, but they should not be added to the medicated water. Giving a couple of drops of Poultry NutriDrench would be alright. Sorry that you lost another one. You could save the body and keep it cool, and contact your state vet for a necropsy if you would like to get a diagnosis.
Yeah, I'm still doing her and the ones in the iso pen outside. I saw another young one that's sneezing out there, I'm gonna catch him tonight after roost. I put the package in a ziploc container.Since the eye swelling was going on for a month, it would be good to complete the tylosin. If it is MG, it can come back at another time of stress, so I would keep the medicine in an airtight container for later.
