We bought new chicks 5 days ago. Noticed that night that one had one eye closed. I called the farm center where I bought them and the said not to worry.
Yesterday another chick had one eye closed. This morning more. I called the local vet and he said i need to bring them in and since it is sunday it will cost big bucks. I have looked at this forum and am worried about CRD. They do not seem sick and are eating g and drinking and active.
No discharge or runny stuff, no chest rattling. But this is obviously cintagious.
Please help. This was a grandmother/grandchildren project and it will be very sad to lose them.
