eyes not so wide open

I woke up this morning and checked on my chicks they are 6 or 7 weeks old and little missys eyes we're not so wide open they were stuck shut there was no goop or crusty they were clean and stuck shut so I massaged them lightly and theyear opened she was back to her self this is my first batch of chicks and was just looking for some advice thank you

Glad you could join the flock! I'm afraid I've never had this happen to my chicks but as there is no discharge or crusty substance there it does sound odd. Are you sure she was not just asleep? Was she on the roost or stood without opening her eyes? You could post in the emergencies injuries and disease section of the forum to see what other members there have to say.
