Ruby ran out of Fern's burrow quickly. "Where?!?" She screamed, wanting to kill that rat. She had killed small mice and rats before when they tried to eat her eggs when she was brooding.

Ruby screamed at how big the rat was and ran back into Fern's burrow, trembling. There was no possible way she could kill that rat. She hoped that the roosters could take care of it too.

Clora went with her and pushed over a rock and showed her A BUNCH of grubs, worms and other edible bugs and then she said "The best place to look for bugs is under rocks they feel more protected under them, my mom taught me about it when I was almost a pullet"
