*Eyes Of The Phoenix* A Wild Chicken RP

"Are any more hatching?" Ruby asked while looking at the cutie that was still on her back.
“Yup.” She stood, holding Spark with her wing. She could see that one egg had zipped, and one had a large pip with a black beak sticking out. The final egg, the odd white one, was painfully silent.

Ruby now looked at Fern's eggs. "That's good. I hope that odd one hatches."

The zipped egg slowly pushed open. A little yellow foot grasped the shell. A wet, brownish chick struggled out. Fern pulled it under her, drying it off. She then brought it out.
The chick was a female. She was brown, with blue-gray hints and black stripes down her back and neck. She peeped frantically and dove back under Fern.

"You've got some pretty chicks, Fern." Ruby said. She looked at Moon who was still on her back. She carried Moon off and put Moon underneath herself, thinking she must be getting cold.

“I know. I am so in love with them. Just look at you!” She baby-talked to Spark, who poked his head out from under her wing. His much shyer sister also poked her head out. “This little one is scared.” She murmured. “It’s okay, baby.”

"Do you have a name idea for that one yet?" Ruby asked. She looked down at Moon who was sleeping underneath her.

“I think I’ll call her River.” She said, preening the gray-brown chick. The chick looked at Ruby shyly. Moon came out from under Ruby to greet her little sister.
Ruby watched as Moon came out from under her. "I hope I can hatch chicks eventually. Me and Percy have gotten very close lately."
