Coal woke up. He guessed that he must have fallen asleep. He turned to Splash. "How are the chick's doing?", he asked, moving closer.

He was invisible in the night shadows. He watched the den entrance carefully.

When the burrow was quiet, Sparrow dived in, but in the corner of her eye, there looked like there was another figure. But it was to late, Sparrow crashed into the sleeping form of Jay.
