I'm Fabulously Feathered Silkies. I can address Sherri's comments and answer your question by saying this. I've never been cited for anything including deadly illnesses by any official. Not city, state or anyone else. I've not been ordered to stop selling by birds and to close by any of these offices either.

This story has been posted and reposted by Sherri and those she's encouraged to repost it. Its everywhere now. Even after she was corrected, therefore very aware of her information being false. She ignores that and continues to post it as if its true. Her posts also contain her public request for all readers to join in her "we need to close her down" campaign and repost wherever they can. Asking readers to help her in her efforts to rid everyone of this fraud, this terrible person who has the nerve to call herself a Silkie breeder. Its beyond ridiculous at this point! She is a great, very experienced breeder who evidently doesnt allow others to learn to breed and sell in "her state". I say that as she encourages readers of her post to repost everywhere the can and share her info with everyone they know, in her most recent "we need to close her down" campaign. Its beyond ridiculous!
She still continues to both, post these lies everywhere she can and encourages others to do the same. She regularly contacts people from
my facebook page to inform them I've been closed down due to illnesses that contaminated my entire flock. After insighting them, she questions what they reported as a positive experience. She suggests they rethink it and post about "this fraud" now that they know "the truth".
Tho her Satin pics in this thread have the fault of a red comb she ridicules me in my early development of my Satins for some throwing them. Why should this behavior continue and be encouraged by allowing it on Social Media. Its wrong and is nothing short of billing and harressment.

Not accurate either Sherri. The tests your reporting here were taken after the person had these chicks for almost 10 weeks. She openly stated that during that time while raising her young chicks she had kept them with birds from a person she had just met. This person, who like her, had no reasonable Bio security protocols in place which are needed to protect her babies from those diseases. That's how the tests came about.

I've addressed this and I have provided the UC Davis necropsy from my closest chick in the age of her submission. I've corrected the "citing and closure" with the statement from the City that also said if anyone wants to verify it contact them. I'm not going to continue with this. I'm enjoying life with my beautiful birds and all the people that believe in me and what I'm doing based their own experiences. This is not the first camps in you've spearheaded I'm sure it won't end up being your last. But
I've asked you to leave me alone and I'm asking again...Please quit uit bulling me and enjoy your life. Its very short and I don't want to waste anymore of it on correcting your propaganda.

Ooh... This just got real. That doesn't explain all of the negative reviews, though. Did you have your birds tested to counter accusations? I'm willing to give the benefit of the doubt, but the odds are not in your favor given what I've read - not just from Sherri; from several people.

Oh my! Where do I begin? #1 All the TRUE info is posted in my link above. The reports are all there for people to read for themselves. The chick you had tested later was obviously 1 you hatched out & kept separate from your sick birds until you took it in for testing. Plus there are responses on those threads from at least 10 other people that got sick chicks from you & another person has a list of 52 more. #2 And then there are all the other posts on this thread from people that have been scammed by you. Let's see you explain all of them away & say they're all lying. #3 If you think I consider you to be any type of competition, then you're even more delusional than I thought. I have a lot of competition from several breeders in my area. We compete for sales & our birds compete against each other in poultry shows. I totally respect all of them & have never said a single word against them. What I don't respect is a "chick mill", which is basically what you have & you are a blight on the name of reputable breeders everywhere. #4 Yes, I would like to see you shut down, but only because of all the heartache you're causing by selling people sick birds. #5 - Please show me where my "Satin pics in this thread have the fault of a red comb"! Not that it makes any difference as your accusation of "she ridicules me in my early development of my Satins for some throwing them" never happened. I did say that you were producing chicks with disqualifying faults, such as red combs & 4 toes, & then selling them to 4H'rs as show quality - which is true.
#6 You can keep on denying everything all you want, but you can't explain away all the people that have posted bad things about you. Telling people the truth is not bullying. You brought on your own problems by continuing to scam people. Stop it!

What do you have to say about these people here...that all bought sick birds from you?

Anyone have an experience with this breeder? All of my chicks came to me sick, I want to know if anyone else has experienced problems. I've had a 50% mortality rate, see my profile for details

Hey there. So I just came across your post and I had the same experience. I see all of these happy chicken posts and I am sad to say I don’t have one. My husband decided to get me chicks. We knew nothing about them, total newbies. He called many places but only found one breeder selling them locally, at fabulous feathered silkies. Upon arrival there were only older chickens available and a couple chicks. She agreed to take us to her temp location where the chicks were. First thing I noticed were several dead chicks. I figured this was normal with so many in her flock. I said I wanted pure silkie and she helped me pick a few out. (I would later discover 3 were cochins, not silkies)

Within 24hrs the silkie died. I asked for a refund or a replacement. Two days later 2 became sick. A month later she finally set up a time for me to come for my replacement bird. This was at a 3rd location. She would not allow me to see the chicks. I told her what I wanted but each one she picked up seemed to have something wrong with it and several were throwing up. I saw a few through the crack of the door that I liked, but she wanted to keep keep them, even though she had several. I finally just took what she gave me and left.

The entire ride home my husband gagged by the smell of this little chick. It was horrid and smelt just like odor emitting from the room they were in. I get home and see I have a white silkie that was covered in feces. I bathe and quarantine the chick, but within a few days it dies. I had already been to the vet for the other 2 sick ones and received a diagnosis of Mycoplasma gallisepticum. I now had another dead bird. The vet recommended I take the remaining birds to UC Davis to have them euthanized and a necropsy performed.

Prior to making this decision I contacted Dawne hoping to give her the birds back and get a refund but she refused. She later had the nerve to say she had agreed to take the birds. Once the report came back it was clear the disease originated from her flock. Again I asked for my money but she demanded the report in exchange for a refund. I agreed and in good faith emailed her the report. She did not keep her end of the deal.

The report was extremely sad to read, but it was clear that all of the birds suffered from the horrible illnesses, with the newest one being in the worst condition and having additional ailments. Dawne has now dismissed the necropsy report and has accused me of trying to destroy her business. I am disgusted by the unethical behavior this woman has displayed, the lack of accountability, as well as the lack of compassion for the emotional toll this has taken on my family.

I am not the first to encounter an experience like this. I have since come across over 25 people who have dealt with the exact same issues. This is not a reputable, responsible breeder, this is a chicken mill. Please save yourselves the pain and buy elsewhere.

Me too. It was a horrible first time experience and now she is trying to bully me for speaking up.

Oh my gosh! The same thing happened to me!! Never had chickens before, came across her on Craigslist. I had 10 Silkies, 7 died of illness. I was so naive, I never thought the chickens were already sick. I finally caught on. I just cut ties with her a couple of months ago. After reading your report I now know what illnesses my chiks probably had. I have 12 chickens not from her, but I'm certain exposed to what the others had. I'm not sure I could euthanize them. They seem healthy for now. They are my babies. I've had them about a year now. They follow me every where. Very sad how someone could be so heartless.

Since my post addressing the accusations by Sherry I can see through the alert button that there are many of her saying supporters putting your two cents in. I don't mean any disrespect but I am not going to read them I'm not going to answer them and I'm not going to address anything in them. I've done that on Facebook after post of Sherri and I'm not going to repeat any of it again. I don't wish to turn this thread into another back and forth pile that wastes everyone's time. Addressing her accusations has accomplished nothing. Facts supplied to her doesn't do any good. I've tried to end it this same way. Being civil and providing facts on the other sites. They have gotten ugly and resulted in nothing but. more posting from her somewhere else on the internet. I don't understand why she continues year after year. The only thing that changes is what she accuses me of. She has used the loss of my house fire to ridicule me fallingnme a fraud. Why I don't know I didn't have any insurance . Then turned her complaining over to go fund me stating it was a false report . After investigation by them of course they found it credible. . That didn't matter to her and it still doesn't. she continues with the same reporting it in posts that it was a fraud She prides herself in the "outing" still using it publicly. The embarrassment, pain and hurt doesn't go away. She adds to it by the new stories she posts . I can't see what she wants to gain. She has accused me of so many ridiculous thingsin the past seve4al years but this is the first about illness in my chickens. She's hit some very personal areas of my life dragging me through the mud. Please don't allow her to add to her audience. Thank you for reading my side of the story. I hope somewhere in all this she becomes satisfied and quits. I apologize for having to address this issue in this forum but at some point a person needs to stick up for themselves.

Screenshots are just that. Pictures of something else posted by you and your pals to support you in your madness. STOP they don't trump the facts period. Get over your issue with me whatever it really is or get some help. Please quit obsessing over someone you don't even know!
