Facebook question...

I do not have many "friends" on my Facebook but keep it to family and close friends and a few BYC members. We all interact. I wouldn't keep anyone on there if I didn't interact with them. I like being able to keep in touch with distant family members and friends.
ETA: I do not do the game type things they have such as farm animals, etc. I want to talk to these people not just keep sending "stuff" around.

it is so true.. i have like 100 plus friends,, all of whom i went to high school with.. i post some pic..
i dont comment or talk about my kids... they are my private protection.. animals oh yeah! i should trim mine down to only family. alothough its interesting how somepeople post status about "everything they do" thats kinda annoying or when someone is always saying curse words in their "status" annoying.. theres one girl that does that,, shes not even my friend,,,,shes my husbands friends wife... so why are we friends? anyways.. i think its a great tool for friendships or games (i dont play i know alot of people that do farmville) and i have been reuinted with a highschool friend from 15 yrs ago (that was real neat) (that was back in may 2009 and i havent seen or heard a peep from her)
lives our busy with our children and all.
i think if you want to delete some people. go right ahead! i am thinking on the same thing!

I have about 114 friends. Out of those, i know about 40. the rest are people from BYC or a few for games. I have requests weekly from people I went to high school with, some I barely knew, much less were actual friends with. I just hit ignore. If I didnt talk to you then, why would I want to talk to you now? Some of these people have hundreds of friends, its like a game to them to see how many they can have. Sorry, i dont need it. I enjoy most of my friends, especially BYC people. I have un-friended a few that got on my nerves, but not many.

i have 217 friends on my FB and most are friends from highschool or elementary school... a few are from BYC but i try to comment of walls or on pics just to keep in touch... and yes i purge pain in the butts too.... but there are some that I have that have very limited access to my profile but they dont stop bugging if i dont add them, so I will add but restrict what they can do like commenting on pics, or even see pics... or commenting on statuses

I'm not a Facebook type of person, I guess. I joined because my sister told me that a mutual out-of-state friend of ours was on there. So, I joined for that reason and so that I could keep up with nieces and nephews, etc., and only intended to have real friends on my list. I've had complete strangers "friend" me which I have not "friended" back and I have had other people, acquaintances, "friend" me and I didn't feel I could refuse. I've come so close to deactivating my account, especially recently when a friend of a friend posted something I found offensive. I probably have about 40 people on my friends list. It seems for a lot of people it's a contest to see who can get the most "friends."
