Failing miserably at hatching eggs

I was thinking that but I wasn't sure if I should try that. Like you said though either way they would probably die. Its been on lock down (not turned) since day 25 so idk...

Should have waited ! :'( all the parts are there and she is moving eyes blinking and all but the yolk wasn't absorbed :( Poor poor thing :(

I laid her back in the incubator, she is still in the sack and I bumped the humidity. I am sure I will lose her but I can still see movement. The yolk is sucking in and back out over and over.

It's ok. She can still survive. I've done it before. Now you know they are ok. Is she still in the shell with the yolk covered by the shell? Don't feel bad about the decision made. You would have fussed yourself if you wouldn't have done anything and all of them had died in the shell. No one knows the outcome of things like this.

What day did you set the eggs? Could the hatch day be miscalculated? How many eggs in the incubator?

She is completely out of the egg. I put them in on the 13th of april. There were 6 but then my 2 year old unplugged the incubator and only this one made it to lock down. I bumped the humidityup to 70... trying to get it hihher to keep her from getting shrink wrapped!

Warning, sad and kinda gross pic...

There was a lot of blood... is that "normal"? not that any of this is normal...

Also, how long will it take (if she does pull through) for her to absorb the yolk?

How long was the incubator unplugged? That may explain it not hatching on time.

I fell asleep one night and didn't put my goose eggs back in the incubator after cooling and misting until 7 hours later. They were left out in a 60 degree room but they hatched anyway.

Can you fit the baby back in the egg and wrap it up in a wet paper towel that has been wet by using warm water?
