Fairfax County backyard ducks

I have been wanting to hatch a pair of ducks to keep in my back yard. The lot I am on is 9,899 sqft and i'm in Fairfax County VA and it says you need to acres to keep chickens, geese, and duck. The Fairfax County website says that 16 ducks for every acre which means you can keep 32 ducks in 2 acres. Is it possible for me to keep 2 ducks on .23 acres of land? If you can help me out with this situation, respond asap. Thanks in advance!

Two ducks on just under a quarter acre seems reasonable. Our “back yard” is about a third of an acre and with any luck there will be 12 ducks on it in about 7 weeks. I have a lot more land but it’s not practical to use at this time

Two Ducks on a 1/4 acre would be completely fine.

We fired up the Chinese 'bator last night with 7 in it. The only way I am ever gonna get motivated enough to build another duck coop is a sense of urgency. If the 'bator fails we can always order some.

While the number of ducks is quite reasonable if there are ordinances against it it could result in fines and being forced to rehome the ducks.

That is one of the reasons we moved a few months ago. Where we moved is out of the city and almost everyone has animals. Before the virus scare there were free range chickens everywhere. People seemed to have rethought that and figured they are more valuable now.

I am blessed to live in a city that has few requirements on keeping chickens, ducks and geese.
Pretty much our only restrictions are in keeping them clean, healthy, not creating a nuisance and no home processing.

Fowl, such as chickens, ducks, turkeys, and geese, may only be kept on lots that are two acres or greater.

That looks pretty clear to me.

Kyle, have you found the information you need? I have just gone through the process to legally keep chickens on my 1/2 acre lot in Fairfax County. Let me know if you have any questions about the process.
