I rescued a beautiful Peking male - you can see my other posts- two had been dumped in a friends yard pond…the fox got one, then friend called me because of the “odd duck” in his yard….found other was starving and when I went there he basically walked over and let me pick him up.
The problem is I mainly keep call ducks, so when he sees my cute tiny white call duck he wants to mate (he’s 10x her size) so I have to keep her in a separate enclosure with the mandarins. Funny that he does not try and mate with my mallard female…though he is friends with my mallards…
I either need to get him a Peking female or find him a new home…but I want to make sure he is in a good environment.
So if you are in the Mercer / Somerset / Burlington / Bucks county region and have a flock of Peking’s (not to be eaten)…this might be a nice duck to join your group.
